Philadelphia 76ers second-year point guard Markelle Fultz could return within an approximate range of three to six weeks from his shoulder injury, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Markelle Fultz's timetable will depend upon the success of his rehab and pain tolerance.

Markelle Fultz has been diagnosed with Neurogenic Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, an injury that affects nerves between the neck and shoulder resulting in abnormal functional movement and range of motion.

In 19 games this season for the Sixers, Fultz is averaging 8.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists while shooting 41.9 percent from the field, 28.6 percent from beyond the arc and 56.8 percent from the free-throw line. He has a nasty hitch in his shot and his free-throw routine is just as ugly, and now we know why.

Fultz will begin physical therapy immediately. The former No. 1 overall pick has traveled comprehensively for specialist visits and trips in the past two weeks. The scoring guard needs to get his mind and body right before he comes back to the Sixers.

Philadelphia is playing really well right now. The last thing they need is for Markelle Fultz to come back and bring all the drama and dysfunction with him. The 20-year-old needs to take his time with his rehab and only come back when he's shooting the basketball with confidence and without any pain.
