The Philadelphia 76ers seem to be aggressive in this year's draft. Reports say that they want to move into the Top 5 but are not willing to offer two of their key players.

As reported by Jake Fischer of Sports Illustrated, the Sixers are arranging trade packages with hopes of moving up to the Top 5 in the draft. None of these packages include Robert Covington, Dario Saric.

Both Saric and Covington formed an instrumental part in the Sixers' success last season as starters. Saric logged in 14.6 points per game, 6.7 rebounds in 29.6 minutes.

Covington, for his part, logged in 12.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 31.7 minutes. He was named into the All-Defensive First Team. When he was on the court, the Sixers had a defensive rating of 99.0 compared to 107.4 when he was off. In addition, Covington ranked was first in defensive win shares compared to those who played at least 70 percent of their team's games.

Sixers head coach Brett Brown admitted that the Sixers are going to be more aggressive in the offseason. For him, for the Sixers to go up to the next level, they need to add more pieces. As per Noah Levick of NBC Sports:

“I think we need more,” Brown said. “I feel what people should most hear is that in the event that we do not get that, we’re going to be very aggressive, and people understand the cap space that we have. In the event that we are not successful this year achieving that, we can reload and do the same thing next year.”

“We are completely exploring aggressively all options, and I think we just know we need a little bit more.”
