For San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Becky Hammon, forward Keldon Johnson could be the ‘steal' of the 2019 NBA Draft.

Per Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News, Hammon — the Spurs Summer League head coach — thinks that Keldon could be the ‘steal of the draft'

The 19-year-old Keldon was the 29th overall pick by the Spurs in the recent draft. The Kentucky-product has been making waves in the Summer League. In his second Summer League game, Johnson dropped 29 points (10-of-17 from the field, 6-of-6 from the free throw line) to go along with seven rebounds, three steals and a block in 25 minutes of action in a 99-84 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday. On Sunday, he followed it up with 19 points in a win over the Charlotte Hornets.

Below are some of Johnson's highlights in their game against the Grizzlies:

Johnson was one of those players whom some analysts believe should've been picked higher in the draft. But from the looks of it, only the Spurs saw his talent and picked him. And as always, the Spurs' turned out to be right. Johnson possesses great potential as evidenced by his Summer League performance thus far. Time can only tell is Hammon's words prove prophetic. But safe to say that the kid has the capacity to do something big.
