San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich added another milestone on his long list of achievements.

The Spurs scored a 116-113 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night in Minneapolis. The win against the Timberwolves was Popovich's 520th victory on the road. The veteran head coach is now tied with legendary head coach Pat Riley for the most road wins in their coaching career.

LaMarcus Aldridge led the way for the Spurs again, as he finished with 25 points on 8-for-20 shooting from the field. The All-Star power forward also grabbed nine rebounds and dished out four assists to help the Spurs notch their 27th win this season against 20 defeats.

Rudy Gay also had a productive night with 22 points and five assists, while Derrick White finished with 15 points on top of six rebounds and three assists. Marco Belinelli came off the bench, and provided a spark, adding 19 points and five boards. Davis Bertans and Bryn Forbes added 11 and 10 markers, respectively.

According to ESPN, it was Popovich's 1,224th win as a coach, remaining third on the all-time coaching wins list behind Don Nelson and Lenny Wilkens. Popovich could surpass Wilkens and Nelson if he decides to continue coaching, but the five-time NBA champion coach hinted that coaching the Spurs beyond this season is not yet set in stone.

Marc Stein of The New York Times reported that the 69-year-old coach is still unsure if he will be coaching the Spurs next season. Spurs president RC Buford clarified, though, that Popovich will remain as their head coach as long as the popular bench tactician wants to. It is worth noting that Popovich will coach the USA men's basketball team.
