San Antonio Spurs forward Keldon Johnson had a game to remember on Friday night. In a matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Johnson had a performance for the ages posting a stat line 23 points, 21 rebounds to go with a pair of assists, a steal, and two blocks.

The Spurs would end up winning the game narrowly edging out the Cavaliers 117-110. Johnson became the first Spurs player since Tim Duncan did in 2013 to post a 20/20 game.

Johnson was 9-for-19 from the field and was the main catalyst in their win. The 21-year-old from Virginia has jumped up the Spurs roster from being a role player last year, into a big part of their starting five. On the season Johnson is averaging 13.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game for the Spurs. Friday night's performance was somewhat of a breakout one for the young forward. He was drafted 29th overall in 2019 out of Kentucky and has already proven to be one of the top players from that draft class.

With LaMarcus Aldridge no longer apart of the Spurs plan moving forward, Johnson will not only see extended time but will be asked to produce more. The team has relied heavily on DeMar Derozan and Dejountae Murray for most of the season, so to have a third option in Johnson is something head coach Greg Popovich will be glad to see.

Johnson is coming into his own in the NBA, and nights like these prove how talented he is and how impactful he can be to this Spurs team moving forward.
