Pittsburgh Steelers icon Ben Roethlisberger officially called time on his illustrious career on Thursday as he announced his retirement from the NFL. Former Steelers star Antonio Brown was one of the first personalities in the league to react to Big Ben's announcement and Brown's statement was only fitting for the legend that is Ben Roethlisberger.

Brown needed just seven words to express on Twitter the amount of respect he has for his former Steelers teammate:

In true Antonio Brown fashion, he also had to throw in some self-praise as he sent his congratulatory message for Roethlisberger. It is clear that in the mind of AB, there is no other tandem in the league that comes close to his partnership with Big Ben.

Brown made his mark in the NFL during his memorable tenure with the Steelers. Drafted by Pittsburgh as a sixth round pick in 2010, it didn't take long before the former Michigan State standout found his groove on the field playing alongside Roethlisberger.

We're pretty sure AB is currently reminiscing about his glory days in Pittsburgh now that he's facing all sorts of issues off the field. Brown, who infamously walked out on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during a game earlier in the season, recently revealed that he's suing the team for forcing him to get mental help.

Unlike Big Ben who's sitting pretty right now as he faces the prospect of life after football, the same cannot be said about Brown.
