Ben Roethlisberger is among several players that the Pittsburgh Steelers have placed on the NFL's reserve COVID-19 protocol list following Sunday's 24-19 victory over the Dallas Cowboys, according to an official report from the team.

Other Steelers players on this list include offensive lineman Jerald Hawkins, running back Jaylen Samuels and linebacker Vince Williams. All are expected to isolate for five days, and they will not be allowed to attend practice at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex.

Per the protocol, these players will need to pass a series of tests throughout the week before they can be deemed eligible for Pittsburgh's upcoming matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. It's also worth noting that tight end Vance McDonald was placed on the Steelers' COVID-19 reserve list on Monday.

Though the Steelers came away with the win against the Cowboys, Ben Roethlisberger came away a bit banged up. He took a shot to his knee during Sunday's game and went to the locker room, resulting in both of his knees being banged up. After evaluations, he returned in the third quarter, then threw two fourth-quarter touchdown passes to lead Pittsburgh to victory.

“No real health issues to report of,” Tomlin said when assessing injuries the Steelers sustained during his postgame press conference, via CBS Sports. “Ben was able to go back into the game and finish the game. I'm sure there'll be bumps and bruises associated with play.”

When asked about his knee, Roethlisberger noted that “he'll be fine,” according to CBS Sports.

This is obviously concerning news for the Steelers, who are the only undefeated team left in the NFL. Hopefully, these players will test negative for the virus throughout the week.
