Throughout his career, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been known for playing through a bunch of injuries while being very durable.

The latest injury, a hip problem, has Roethlisberger feeling not so great as the Steelers get set to take on the Denver Broncos in Week 5. Per ESPN, Roethlisberger believes the hip injury was part of the reason some his throws were off against the Green Bay Packers.

It's pretty sore,” Roethlisberger said after the Steelers' practice. “If I showed you the picture, you might not be too well to your stomach. It's a little black and blue.

“… As a quarterback, there's so much involved in your lower body. People probably think as a quarterback or as a thrower, it's ‘how's your arm doing?' Your arm is honestly a small part compared to the whole package. It's your core. It's your lower body. I've got to find ways to be better with my lower body. Going back and watching the game, a few times, a lot of throws I missed, were missed because my lower body wasn't in sync.”

It sounds like the injury won't sideline the signal caller for the Steelers but it could alter the game plan that offensive coordinator Matt Canada puts out against a very stout Broncos defense.

Pittsburgh is off to a sluggish start, sitting at 1-3 and looking up at three, 3-1 teams in their own division alone. The Steelers will need Big Ben to be much better if they have any hopes of making the playoffs this year.
