As NFL teams begin to prepare for their next season, specifically the training camp portion of the year, rookies are beginning to sign their deals with the teams that drafted them. One of those players, Michigan linebacker Devin Bush, has officially signed his rookie deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, Bush’s four-year deal is worth $18,871,768, with all of the money guaranteed for the young linebacker.

The Michigan product can now officially get to work for the Steelers, and with training camp fast approaching, it’ll be nice for Bush to know that he’s secure in his contract so he can go out and play to his best abilities.

Drafted with the 10th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, Bush is known for being a disruptive linebacker who can play any type of play. During his career at Michigan, Bush posted 172 total tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, and 10 sacks.

Following his 2018 season, Bush was named the Nagurski-Wooden Defensive Player of the Year, the Butkus-Fitzgerald Linebacker of the Year, and was also named to the All-Big Ten defensive first-team.

Needless to say, Bush is a high profile athlete, and one that will look to help a Steelers team that could certainly use some help when it comes to talent.

After losing both Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown in the offseason, the Steelers will now be looking to compete in a suddenly very talented AFC North division, filled with the likes of the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns.

If Bush is as good as he projects to be, it will give the Steelers a much-needed defensive boost, and keep them in contention for the playoffs.
