Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster has grown exponentially since joining the team last season. Unfortunately, Smith-Schuster's fantastic season was overshadowed by the distracting dramas that haunted the team all season long. First, the Le'Veon Bell drama lasted all year, then right at the end of the season Antonio Brown helped in reigniting the drama for Pittsburgh.

Brown's recent drama has been a huge distraction for the Steelers recently, and nobody knows exactly what's happening with the former All-Pro receiver. There has been speculation that Brown has not been thrilled with the connection between head coach Mike Tomlin and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Brown speculatively feels that Tomlin caters to Big Ben's needs and desires on how to run the offense. For the first time in years, Brown did not lead the team in receptions and yards. Roethlisberger often turned to Smith-Schuster in times of need and Brown's production took a bit of hit as a result.

Regardless of fewer yards and receptions, Brown still led the league in touchdown receptions with 15. So clearly there isn't much of a drop off, and the targets Brown saw in 2018 were actually higher than they have been the last two seasons with 168.

JuJu clearly would not like to see anything happen to Brown in regards to a trade or any kind of move. Brown is undoubtedly a fantastic player and arguably the league's best receiver, but something was not right in 2018. Brown will likely speak out at some point soon, but it may not be what the Steelers want to hear.
