The Pittsburgh Steelers made the playoffs in one of the craziest finishes to a regular season in NFL history. They beat their rival, the Baltimore Ravens in overtime, and escaped the tie-scenario between the Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders, just barely.

That gave them a berth in the AFC Wild Card round. Now, they head to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the AFC defending champion Kansas City Chiefs. Las Vegas casinos have let everyone know what they think of the Steelers chances Sunday.

According to Yahoo Sports' Frank Schwab, the opening line is the largest in NFL Wild Card round history. The Chiefs opened as 13-point favorites in most sports books. The previous largest point spread for a Wild Card round matchup was 11 or 11.5 points, depending on the sports book.

What's more distressing for Steelers fans is how the previous 10 biggest Wild Card underdogs performed. Of the 10 biggest underdogs, only two of them covered. The 2010 Seahawks, who defeated the heavily favored New Orleans Saints during the “Beast Quake” game in Seattle is the one everyone remembers. Seattle won outright by five points. Last season was the other when the Washington Football Team was 10-point dogs and only lost by eight to Tom Brady and the Buccaneers.

The other eight biggest underdogs all lost and none of them covered the spread. Many of them were hammered.

Earlier this season, the Steelers played in Kansas City and got destroyed. Pittsburgh trailed 30-0 early in the 3rd quarter, and it finished 36-10. The Steelers are hopeful to change the outcome this time. For that to happen, Vegas will need to be way off.
