After a lot of speculation and uncertainty about Martavis Bryant's future with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the storied franchise decides to make a move on Thursday during the 2018 NFL Draft. The has reportedly agreed to trade Bryant to the Oakland Raiders for a draft pick.

According to the team's Twitter account, Pittsburgh has acquired a third-round pick in exchange for Bryant.

The Raiders have been as active as any team during the NFL offseason as new head coach Jon Gruden tries to mold the team into what he wants to see for the foreseeable future. The team's focus moving forward is building around star quarterback Derek Carr who Gruden has been a big fan of for quite some time.

Along with acquiring Bryant, the team signed veteran wideout Jordy Nelson and parted ways with Michael Crabtree. The addition of Bryant gives Carr another weapon in the passing game. Nelson, Bryant, and Amari Cooper will form a solid receiving corps.

Although this move does improve the receiving corps for Oakland, it is an interesting move by Gruden and company. Gruden has made it abundantly clear that he's cleaning house and building a culture of players with character. Bryant was more of a distraction than an asset on the field for the Steelers making a trade seem inevitable.

Last season, Bryant played in a total of 15 games after being suspended for the entire 2016 campaign for violating the league's substance abuse policy for the second time. The Clemson product started only eight games last year in Pittsburgh catching 50 passes for 603 yards and three touchdowns.
