The Pittsburgh Steelers have had injury woes at the wide receiver position this season. Now, yet another Steelers wideout has sustained a notable injury at this early point in the campaign.

In the Steelers' Week 5 home matchup against the Denver Broncos, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster took on a hard hit from defensive back Kareem Jackson during the first half. Smith-Schuster was in clear pain following the hit and needed help in walking off the field.

Ahead of the second half, it was announced that Smith-Schuster would not return for the remainder of the game due to a shoulder injury.

Smith-Schuster did not have any impact during his time on the field against Denver. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger only targeted him once over the opening half of the contest, as he instead opted to connect with the likes of Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool for pivotal, big-yard gains.

Smith-Schuster has not been able to build formidable chemistry with Roethlisberger this season. He has only totaled for 15 receptions and 129 receiving yards through five games with Pittsburgh this year.

For now, it remains to be seen on the severity of Smith-Schuster's shoulder injury. In the meantime, other wideouts in Pittsburgh's wide receiver unit will need to step up in his absence.
