Up by five points in the final seconds, the Pittsburgh Steelers denied the Dallas Cowboys the opportunity to steal a game, thanks to a timely combined sack on quarterback Garrett Gilbert, from defensive tackle Cameron Heyward and outside linebacker T.J. Watt.

Having taken the lead for the first time in the game on the series prior, the stop by the Pittsburgh defense was a timely one for a unit ranked in the top 10 in points allowed, and number one in sacks per game, at 4.3.

While the Cowboys were able to get possession of the ball one more time, following a three and out series from the Steelers, the defense was once again able to contain the Dallas offense, with cornerback Minkah Fitzpatrick breaking up a potential game winning pass as time expired.

With the effort, Pittsburgh improves to 8-0 on the season, the first time the illustrious franchise has reached the halfway mark of the season, undefeated.
