When Alex Len was picked with the five overall pick in the 2013 draft, the Phoenix Suns felt like he was a bright young man that the team could build around.

But his tenure with the team has been filled with disappointment and he has even had trouble finding the court at times this season. With Len being a free agent after this season, he knows his time with the Suns is winding down. When asked if his time with the Suns was almost over he gave a simple answer.

“Probably,” Len told azcentral sports in a one-on-one discussion prior to the game against Detroit. “I’m looking forward to this offseason,” he said. “I think it’s going to be exciting. It’s the first time I’m actually going to have a chance to go where I want to go.”

Len went on to talk about how he has felt like he hasn't been used right with the Suns and wants to find a team that will play to his strengths the most.

With the Suns, the biggest issue he has had has been playing time and at no point has he averaged more than 23.3 minutes per game. This season, he is averaging 19.8 minutes putting up 8.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.

One of the other big reasons Len wants to leave is to just find some consistency.

“The last few years we’ve had three different coaches, the roster was changing every year. There was never really any consistency,” Len said. “It was like starting over every year. Yeah, stability and consistency will be something I definitely look for.”
