The Phoenix Suns marched into Staples Center on Sunday afternoon and took a 100-92 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers to know the series at two games apiece. Chris Paul- who was listed as a game-time decision- ended up being ready for Game 4 and made history in the process. Paul passed Magic Johnson for a rather impressive feat as he continues to etch his name into various NBA record books.

Paul, who has battled a shoulder issue since the beginning of the series, came out ready and played well as the Suns escaped Staples with a split of the two-game set as they travel back to Phoenix. Paul finished with 18 points and nine times and chipped in three steals as the Suns used a full team effort to get the win.

Lakers star center Anthony Davis left Game 4 at the half after suffering a left groin strain and was not able to return, and his status for the series is now in flux big time. As for the Suns, they continue to grind and will head back home as they hope to take a 3-2 advantage back to Staples Center for Game 6.

The former first-round pick out of Wake Forest just continues to play at a high level and is aiming for a run at an NBA title, something he has yet to accomplish in his storied career in the NBA. Can the Suns ride Paul's momentum and find a way to get past the Lakers and move on in the Western Conference?
