Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns entered Tuesday’s night’s Game 2 looking a 2-0 series lead. They pulled away late to win Game 1 over the weekend. In that game, Booker was not at his best. He appears to be making up for that Tuesday. At halftime, the Suns hold a five-point lead, with Booker leading the way. In fact, he’s feeling so good that after knocking down a jumper and falling out of bounds, Booker gave a baby a fist bump.

The Suns guard has always been a player that looks like he is having fun on the court. Tuesday night is yet another example of this. Of course, it helps when seemingly all of his shots are falling.

Booker went bananas in the first half. He knocked down 12 of his 18 shots from the floor, including seven shots from beyond the arc. Even that has a caveat, as Booker took an inbounds pass in the final seconds of the half and knocked down a deep triple.

Game 2 has been tightly contested overall though. Chris Paul is not having nearly as strong of a game as he did Game 1. Suns fans are likely wondering if that has anything to do with the fact that Scott Foster is the referee. Chris Paul has lost 13 consecutive playoff games that Foster officiated.

The beef has become a topic of discussion over the last couple of years. The Suns point guard has fired comments in the direction of Foster after multiple losses over the last few years. Early in the third quarter Tuesday night, Paul is 2-for-8 shooting for five points. He has also been whistled for three fouls already.
