The Phoenix Suns took care of business on Tuesday, defeating the New Orleans Pelicans, 112-97, to take a 3-2 series lead in this first-round matchup. The Suns could close this series out in Game 6 on Thursday and apparently, they could get a major Devin Booker boost for that contest.

Booker has reportedly been progressing well in his road to recovery from a hamstring injury. So much so, that Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN suggests that the three-time All-Star could be back in the mix as early as Game 6:

“ESPN Sources: Phoenix Suns All-Star G Devin Booker (hamstring strain) is progressing toward a return soon, including the possibility as soon as Game 6 or Game 7 of this playoff series vs. New Orleans. He’s expected to be initially listed as out for Thursday’s Game 6,” Woj said in his tweet.

To be clear, the Suns have yet to make an official announcement on the status of their superstar for Thursday's matchup. However, based on this report, it sounds like there is a chance that Booker actually suits up for Game 6.

The Suns will be extremely cautious with Booker here, but if he's good to go, then they'll likely allow him to take the floor on Thursday. The last thing Phoenix needs right now is for the Pelicans to force a Game 7 in what should have been a straightforward series for the Suns.
