The Phoenix Suns are interested in Kevin Durant, but they are not that desperate to give the farm away to the Brooklyn Nets.

That much is clear after Brian Windhorst of ESPN revealed what the Suns didn't include in their offer for KD. Speaking on The Hoop Collective podcast, the veteran NBA insider shared that Phoenix didn't even offer Mikal Bridges in the deal for the superstar forward.

Brooklyn also wants a ton of picks and pick swaps for Durant in any deal, but Phoenix reportedly also did not give the full-load of allowable picks they can give away

“I'm not sure that they weren't getting him,” Windhorst said, via Real GM. “I think they have, and by the way they're not alone… How do I want to put this? I think the position they're taking is that they've made their offer for Kevin Durant. And their offer is their offer. And it's not an offer that the Nets are interested in.”

It remains to be seen if the Suns will still push through with their chase of Kevin Durant, especially after matching the offer sheet Deandre Ayton got from the Indiana Pacers. Should Phoenix sign Ayton to the deal, they cannot trade him for a year, which will be a major setback for any attempt to get a deal done for KD.

Even if the Suns don't get Durant, though, they still have a team that won 64 games in 2021-22. They have already reached the NBA Finals with the core they have, and while adding Durant could push them to the title, they simply cannot overpay.

For now, fans just have to wait and see what happens with the Suns as they look to further improve their roster.
