It's simple to understand that the Phoenix Suns are one of the worst teams in the NBA. The Suns are currently last in the Western Conference, which is disappointing for such a young team with loads of potential. Franchise superstar Devin Booker has exceeded all expectations since he was drafted in 2016. Booker is currently averaging 24.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.8 assists while shooting a scorching 38 percent from deep. Still, those statistics haven't translated into any success for the Western Conference's bottom team.

Earlier in the season, the Suns fired their head coach Earl Watson in an attempt to change the coaching direction of the team. Although the Suns already have an interim head coach in Jay Triano, it appears that they are already on the hunt for their new head coach. According to Mitch Lawrence of Sporting News, the Suns already have their eyes on a Dave Fizdale to become their new head coach.

Phoenix is targeting former Memphis coach Dave Fizdale to replace interim coach Jay Triano, according to league sources. When Fizdale was the lead assistant to Eric Spoelstra in Miami during the LeBron Era, James Jones was on the Heat roster. Jones has been the Suns' vice president of basketball operations since last July.

This is an interesting report, mainly because it actually has some traction. James Jones is the VP of basketball operations for the Suns and he does have ties to Fizdale. It remains to be seen if Fizdale wants to come back to coaching after being fired this season, but an offer from the Suns may be difficult for him to ignore.
