The Minnesota Timberwolves have been one of the busiest teams in the league this offseason, completely reshaping their roster.

The trend continued on Monday, with the team electing to pull their qualifying offer for veteran guard Shabazz Muhammad, which has effectively made him an unrestricted free agent, according to Chris Haynes of ESPN.

The Timberwolves have made several moves in free agency, including signing both former All-Star point guard Jeff Teague and veteran big man Taj Gibson to multi-year contracts. Of course, doing so has greatly diminished the amount of salary-cap space the team possesses to possibly add more talent on the open market.

Through his first four seasons in the league with Minnesota, Muhammad has found a niche of being a scoring option off the bench. In the 2016-17 campaign, he averaged 9.9 points on 48.2 percent shooting from the field with 2.8 rebounds in 19.4 minutes per contest while playing in 78 games. This included a hot shooting stretch over 21 games from 3-point range that saw him hit an efficient 57.1 percent.

The 24-year-old could draw much interest from across the league given what he brings to the table. He could be an inexpensive addition to another team and be able to become a viable starter in the league.
