Team USA coach Gregg Popovich continues to poke fun at his San Antonio Spurs guard Patty Mills after the two faced off on opposite sides for the second time in three days.

The Team USA head coach complemented Mills' amazing game against the Americans on Saturday before proceeding to call him huge pain in the a**.

Mills, likewise, admitted that Popovich told him he β€œsucked” and joked that the legendary mentor won't allow him to shoot those shots once he returns to San Antonio next season. Or else, Pop will personally fly him back to Australia.

Pop is a joker and the two are obviously just exchanging pleasantries here.

Mills went berserk in the fourth quarter of Team Australia's monumental 98-94 victory over Team USA. The Aussie point guard dropped 13 of his game-high 30 points in the fourth period to bury USA's 78-game winning streak dating back to 2006.

The way Mills performed out there, especially in the closing moments, surely made Popovich proud in some way, though probably not too much since it came at his squad's expense.

Mills was simply spectacular in the clutch, finishing the game with 10 straight points – and 13 of Australia's final 16 – to close out Team USA. He drained two triples down the stretch, including a massive banker three-pointer over Jayson Tatum with less than three minutes to go to put the Boomers up by four.Β Mills finally put the game away with a massive top of the key jumper to take a six point lead with a minute and change remaining.

Gregg Popovich would probably love to see Mills do this more consistently for him and the Spurs this upcoming NBA season.
