The 2022 NFL Draft is finally here and every team across the league is finalizing their scouting reports right now. For the Tennessee Titans, this is an important time to acquire young talent for a solid roster. If the front office makes the right decisions, this franchise could remain competitive for years to come. We dive into some of our Titans' predictions for the NFL Draft that starts tonight.

There are some concerns to the current roster, but it's not like Tennessee is in dire need of anything either. The offensive line could use some youth, a rookie tight end would be exciting, and the receiving core feels like it's missing one more key player. However, the Titans may look to add players to contribute down the road rather than immediately.

Depending on how the board goes, the Titans could find themselves filling some holes later in the draft. We should expect to see Tennessee find a rookie tight end to compliment Austin Hooper. Meanwhile, the front office might already feel confident in the receiving room. Lastly, is now the right time for this franchise to find Ryan Tannehill's replacement?

With that said, here are our Titans predictions for the 2022 NFL Draft.

Titans Predictions for the 2022 NFL Draft

Titans 2022 NFL Free Agency Needs

3. Tennessee takes a tight end in the third round

There are plenty of tight end prospects to be had in the NFL Draft this year. It's hard to imagine the front office pulling the trigger in the first round, however, there will be plenty of options available in round three. The Titans have a need at this position still, as it's not clear whether or not Austin Hooper will be with the organization long term.

We'll see who the Titans select, but one of the favorites to go in round three is Jelani Woods. He's a freak athlete that needs some time to develop as a blocker. Woods would be the perfect backup tight end behind Hooper, as Tennessee can develop his game while he learns behind a legitimate veteran tight end.

2. The front office skips on drafting a wide receiver

Although many believe that wide receiver is a big need for the Titans, the coaching staff may have a different opinion on the position group. Tennessee already has AJ Brown and Robert Woods, which is already an improvement from last season. Additionally, guys like Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Dez Fitzpatrick, and Racey McMath should all make improvements in their game.

It would be tremendously exciting to see the Titans take a rookie receiver like Treylon Burks or Chris Olave. However, the offense should be fine with Austin Hooper serving as the third main pass option. We'll see how it plays out, but there is a real chance Tennessee doesn't draft a rookie receiver in the 2022 NFL Draft.

1. Titans trade up to select a quarterback

The Titans have been very busy scouting the rookie quarterback class this offseason. Based on several factors, we could see the front office move up to take a quarterback the team believes in. Considering Tennessee is still in a Super Bowl window, finding the quarterback of the future now could pay off down the road greatly.

Ryan Tannehill will be the starting quarterback next season. However, his contract situation allows for the Titans to release him in the 2023 offseason. Tennessee can gain a ton of cap space back next year if they play their cards right while simultaneously remaining competitive. Some rookie prospects to keep an eye on are Malik Willis, Desmond Ridder, and Sam Howell.
