The Tennessee Titans playoff matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals should be a great contest. Both of these teams compare well against each other, which could lead to an exciting ending. We take a look at this Titans-Bengals game with some of our Titans playoff predictions in mind.

Tennessee's defense has been balling out for most of the year. The front seven is arguably the best in the league while the secondary has played above expectations in the final stretch of the regular season. We'll see how this game plays out, but the Titans' defense shapes up to be the Bengals' worst nightmare.

Things get interesting whenever the Titans have the ball. Cincinnati has struggled to defend the pass this year, which means we could see big performances out of Ryan Tannehill, AJ Brown, and Julio Jones. Meanwhile, Derrick Henry is expected to return. Considering the injuries the Bengals are dealing with on the defensive line, the King could be in for a massive game in his return. If everything goes according to plan, Tennessee should be able to take care of business and advance to the next round of the 2022 NFL playoffs.

With that said, here are four bold Titans playoff predictions for their playoff matchup against the Bengals.

Titans Playoff Predictions

4. Titans defense completely shuts down Joe Burrow

The Bengals ariel attack is one of the best in the NFL. They've had a remarkable run and have a bright future ahead. However, the Titans defense is an animal Cincinnati has yet to face. Tennessee arguably has the best front seven and they're going up against a putrid offensive line. The strategy is simple… get in Joe Burrow's face.

Burrow excels whenever the opposing defense blitzes. Luckily for the Titans, they don't blitz often, as the front four have dominated all year. Tennessee needs the defensive line to maintain consistency while the linebackers and secondary drop back in coverage. If they can manage that, Joe Burrow should have a rough game on Saturday.

3. Ryan Tannehill, AJ Brown, and Julio Jones light up the Bengals secondary

It's been a while but it looks like the Titans are fully healthy heading into the 2022 NFL playoffs. One key element of this matchup will be Tennessee's ability to throw the ball. The Bengals' defense tends to struggle to defend the pass, which means Ryan Tannehill should connect often with AJ Brown and Julio Jones. Look for the coaching staff to utilize the run to set up the pass, where it should take off in the second half of the game.

2. The King returns and puts up 100+ rushing yards and 2+ touchdowns

The King returns to his throne in Nashville and aims to defend his kingdom on Saturday. Many are speculating that Derrick Henry will receive a light workload in his first game back. However, that could all be smoke and mirrors to keep the Bengals off balance. We could see Henry receive 20+ attempts in his return. Considering Cincinnati is dealing with some injuries within the front seven, the Titans should be able to control the clock and keep the ball out of Burrow's hands.

This is the best strategy in defeating the Bengals. The Titans are a run-first team and will do everything possible to wear down their opponent on Saturday. With King Henry returning with fresh legs, we should see him go bonkers to lead Tennessee to the promise land. For now, the first goal is defeating Cincinnati at home.

1. Tennessee wins and advances to the next round

Overall, the Titans match up well against the Bengals. They have the defense to shut down Cincinnati. Meanwhile, Tennessee's offense is locked and loaded as they look to knock their opponent completely off-kilter. This could be a close game, but if the Titans play their style of football, the Bengals will have no chance of winning this matchup.
