Houston Texans general manager Nick Caserio mostly declined to comment on the legal situation involving star quarterback Deshaun Watson on Friday.

Caserio was asked whether Watson would be participating in the team's offseason program. He merely replied all Texans players will make that choice for themselves.

Reporters continued to press Caserio on the circumstances surrounding Watson, who is facing numerous lawsuits alleging inappropriate sexual misconduct.

Caserio said he had no comment, adding that the team was letting the legal process play out and stating the focus is on the offseason program and upcoming NFL draft.

The first-year Texans GM also refused to delve into any possible “contingency” plans at the quarterback position.

It has already been a chaotic offseason for Caserio.

Watson's initial trade request stemmed from the team's apparent dismissal of his input prior to hiring Caserio to be the new GM. But the situation has since become far bigger than merely the business of football.

Twenty-two women who had previously filed lawsuits against Watson have since agreed to disclose their names, per ESPN's Sarah Barshop. A new lawsuit was filed against Watson on Wednesday afternoon. All of the lawsuits have been consolidated and will now be heard by one judge in the 113th District Court.

Meanwhile, the NFL has launched an independent investigation into the allegations against Watson. The Texans previously agreed to comply with the league in said investigations.

Caserio and the rest of Houston's organization do not plan to discuss any matters pertaining to Watson amid the ongoing legal process.
