Houston Texans star outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney has spent much of the NFL offseason working his way back from minor arthroscopic procedure on his knee that he had back in January that has dragged along a bit longer than expected.

Clowney looks to have taken some encouraging steps forward over the last couple of weeks that has led to his involvement in training camp to some degree. According to Aaron Wilson of The Houston Chronicle, defensive line coach Anthony Weaver stated that the Pro Bowler has been quite limited in what he can perform on the field.

Things may not be moving at the pace that both sides desire, but Clowney's involvement in on-the-field activities is a positive sign of where things are heading. The team is still operating in a fashion of keeping the franchise headed in the right direction without him suffering any setbacks along the way.

It is still an ongoing process that the Texans have much confidence that he can be ready by the start of the regular season. These next few weeks in training camp and possibly the preseason will be a huge determining factor in where he stands physically at this point of his recovery.

Ultimately, it is still a fluid situation that Houston will keep a close eye on over the next month as Clowney progress in his rehab from the surgery.
