Running back Lamar Miller is without question one of the biggest keys for the Houston Texans' offense, but he has been dealing with a chest injury that he suffered in Week 4 against the Indianapolis Colts. As the Texans prepare for a huge Sunday Night Football matchup with the Dallas Cowboys, Miller's status is up in the air and will not be known until just before the game starts.

According to a report from Pro Football Talk, Miller will be a game-time decision in Week 5 against the Cowboys.

Head coach Bill O’Brien said at his Friday press conference that Miller will be a game-time call as a result of the injury.

If Miller is unable to play, the Texans' starting running back role will be handed to Alfred Blue. He is a more than capable running back, but is not the kind of big-play threat that Miller is when he's healthy.

Throughout the first four games of the 2018 season, Miller has rushed for 225 yards on 58 carries. He has not found the end zone yet on the ground. Miller has also caught eight passes for 54 yards and a touchdown.

Houston's offense is much stronger with Miller on the field. They also have another injury situation that they are monitoring.

Will Fuller, the Texans' young star receiver, has been dealing with a hamstring injury that forced him to exit the game against the Colts. He was unable to return last week. Houston is hopeful that Fuller will be healthy enough to play, but at this point in time there have not been any definite answers about his status.

All of that being said, the Texans and Cowboys are going to be battling for Texas bragging rights. Both teams know that winning the in-state matchup is important and will leave a little extra on the field.

Hopefully, Miller will be able to get clearance to play and can make an impact on the game for the Texans.
