The Houston Texans are dealing with their fair share of injuries in the receiving corps going into the offseason. Fortunately, it appears they do not have to worry about wide receiver Keke Coutee.

Coutee's rookie campaign came to an end due to a hamstring injury. According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, he feels he has fully recovered:

“I’m feeling great,” Coutee said. “I'm feeling really good. I’m feeling like myself. The hamstring is good. I’m still resting a little bit. I’m going to start back training soon, but it’s 100 percent.”

This is certainly an encouraging update for the Texans. Coutee showed plenty of promise as a potential weapon for this high-powered Houston offense. Unfortunately, he was never able to find his footing due to the lingering hamstring issue.

Coutee registered 28 receptions for 287 yards and a touchdown in just six games in the 2018 NFL season. The Texans were hoping that he would emerge as a complementary option to wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. Unfortunately, the receiving corps was riddled with injuries down the stretch. The group is now relatively thin with the release of wide receiver Demaryius Thomas.

Despite his small sample size, there is a good reason for the Texans to be confident in Coutee's ability moving forward. He was one of the lone bright spots on offense during their loss in the AFC Wild Card Round after hauling in 11 receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown. Of course, the biggest question moving forward is if he can stay healthy throughout the course of a grueling season.
