The Houston Texans Deshaun Watson saga is far from over. While it's been relatively quiet for the most part of the 2021 NFL season on the Watson trade front, it's beginning to make some noise again. According to ESPN's piece by Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Minnesota Vikings are among the teams that the quarterback is considering as potential landing spots in 2022.

The Texans quarterback, who spent the 2021 season on the team's active roster but did not play, has begun evaluating potential fits for his services in 2022, with the Buccaneers and Vikings among teams on his radar.

One source noted that Watson — who has a no-trade clause — is still early in the evaluation process, but he's looking for the right blend of offensive system, coaching, talent and, most importantly, the chance to win.

The Buccaneers are likely looking to find a replacement for Tom Brady, who had just retired from football following an early exit in the playoffs. The Buccaneers still have Kyle Trask, but it's hard to imagine Tampa Bay giving him the keys to the offense without even trying to search for a better option. As for the Vikings, Kirk Cousins remains as their QB1, but he also only has one more year left on his current deal, and it doesn't appear at the moment that he is at all interested in extending his contract.

Watson is engulfed by a legal storm of sexual assault allegations from over 22 civil cases across multiple states.
