The Houston Texans won the AFC South and returned to the postseason as a result of the 2018 campaign. Despite immediately being ousted from Super Bowl contention by the Indianapolis Colts upon participating in the playoffs, the Texans remain well off heading into the future with quarterback Deshaun Watson under center and prolific wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins flanking the offense along the outside.

According to Mike Wells of ESPN, the already potent Texans offense may get even better thanks to an addition at running back.

“The Texans have a Pro Bowl quarterback and receiver in Deshaun Watson and DeAndre Hopkins and a defense that's led by J.J. Watt,” writes Wells. “Bell, who didn't play a down for Pittsburgh in 2018, will elevate Houston's offense and allow Watt and the defense more time on the sideline while pushing the Colts for the top spot in the AFC South.”

With Bell all but finished in Pittsburgh, the Texans will no doubt be forced into a bidding war to ultimately secure his services. In addition to the Texans, the New York Jets, Baltimore Ravens, Oakland Raiders and several other teams have already been linked to Bell very early on in the offseason.

One thing is for sure, however, and that is that Bell will certainly be somewhere else besides Pittsburgh for the 2019-20 season. Could his next destination be Houston? It definitely makes sense as Bell could notably remain in the AFC to haunt the Steelers for years to come.

Nonetheless, it does not seem likely that this situation will be resolved any time soon.
