The Legion of Boom was beloved by Seattle Seahawks fans, and Earl Thomas is an integral part of it. His return with the Baltimore Ravens to CenturyLink Field reminded the Seahawks just how important he was to the team's successes through the 2010's.

His former Seahawks teammates definitely remember how integral he was in building the team during his nine-year stay. As Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reveals, Thomas has seen as a legend in this neck of the woods.

Shaquill Griffin pointed out how he was helped by the safety during his first year in the league.

“Me coming in my rookie year, to have a guy welcome me with open arms and help me learn how to be a pro, he didn’t have to do that,” Griffin said. “I’ll always love him for that.”

Other players in the Seattle defense also praised him for the way he helped the team become one of the league's most difficult teams to play.

“He did so much for this organization, he did so much for this team,” linebacker Bobby Wagner said. “He’s a legend here. I would expect him to be well received.”

The 30-year-old safety joined the organization in 2010 and quickly became the face of the defense in his early years. As part of the Legion of Boom, he managed three straight First-Team All-Pro honors from 2012 to 2014. In his 125 starts for the Seahawks, he notched, 684 tackles, 28 interceptions for 417 yards and two touchdowns, forced 11 fumbles and made five fumble recoveries.

It will be weird for Seattle fans to see him wearing Ravens colors, but they can only thank him for what he did during his long and successful tenure as a Seahawk.
