Giannis Antetokounmpo made the huge decision to stay in Milwaukee and sign the richest deal in NBA history. There were so many things that factored into his decision. The Bucks are the only NBA team he's ever known. He wants to continue building on what they've done since he was drafted. Then, of course, the Bucks could offer him more money than any other team right now. However, there are bound to be off the court factors involving his family and friends.

On the daily Locked On Bucks Podcast, host Kane Pitman discussed Giannis Antetokounmpo's decision to stay in Milwaukee and revealed one reason Giannis stayed that no one is talking about, mother knows best.

Kane Pitman: There is a long road ahead and it was kind of funny to hear Giannis talk about how the decision was made. He said it was giving him headaches all summer, people asking him, people talking about it with him. He just wanted to be left alone. He said he knew what he wanted in his head. His goal is to win a championship in Milwaukee and have the chance to win a championship here. He also said that he asked his mother if she wanted to move, and she said, no. So he said, okay, let's go do this.

[Fox Sports'] Zora Stevenson asked how he celebrated this contract signing, even despite the fact there's a pandemic I think we could probably all picture in our head or envision in our head how some superstars might celebrate this type of signing. I'm not looking at you, James Harden. Giannis said that he went and bought a bunch of toys for Liam and bought Liam a bunch of clothes, then went home, slept, woke up this morning, and went back into the gym and started practicing. It's just another indication, not that we really needed it, of just how different this guy is.
