Oklahoma City Thunder Paul George absolutely torched the Utah Jazz on Saturday, as he led his team to a razor-thin victory against their Northwest rivals.

Following the 107-106 victory, Thunder head coach Billy Donovan was all praises for his 28-year-old superstar forward.

“He really got into an unbelievable rhythm and a flow,” Donovan said, via Cody Taylor of USA Today. “What he did was remarkable out there and he was in a great groove there. He really had it going there in the third quarter.”

George had a huge third quarter en route to a game-high 43 points (on 15-of-25 shooting). This went along with a five three-pointers, a game-high 14 rebounds, six assists, five steals, one block, and three turnovers in 40 minutes of action.

Former MVP winner Russell Westbrook could not get it going on Saturday (eight points on 3-of-17 shooting, six turnovers), and George stepped up for the Thunder big time.

In the Thunder's last matchup against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday, George also scored 43 points in another spectacular performance.

George has been killing it for the Thunder this season, averaging a career-high 26.1 points (on 45.3 percent shooting), 3.4 three pointers, 8.1 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.2 steals, and 0.7 blocks in 35.2 minutes per ballgame. He has led the charge for Oklahoma, who are now sitting at the second spot in the West with a 21-10 record.

It has been a career year for George thus far, and his mind-blowing performances have propelled him to the MVP conversation, as we near the halfway mark of the campaign.
