As a result of his offseason trade to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Chris Paul hasn't had much conversation with his former Rockets teammate, James Harden.

Paul came to the Thunder in July as part of their deal with the Rockets to acquire Russell Westbrook. Paul spoke fondly of his time in Houston, but there were several reports indicating that he and Russell did not see eye to eye at times.

It is no secret that Paul and Harden did not see eye to eye last season. Sources said the two feuded when the Rockets lost to the Golden State Warriors in the second round of the 2019 playoffs. Paul acknowledged that he and Harden “haven’t really talked” since he was traded.

“It’s life. It happens. It is what it is. But I wish him nothing but the best,” Paul said.

Paul's numbers are a bit down with the Thunder, though he is still shooting the ball with accuracy. In his 19 appearances thus far, the former Wake Forest standout has racked up averages of 15.7 points on 45.6 percent shooting from the field (38.6 percent from beyond the arc), 5.7 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 30.5 minutes per outing.

Though he was caught off guard by the trade, Paul is staying focused on the task at hand:

“I try to control what I can control,” Paul said, via The Undefeated. “And for me, that is preparing to play every night. Doing my workout. Doing my training. Hooping.”

Oklahoma has struggled a bit through the early stages of this season, recording an 8-11 record. They'll look to build off of their two-game winning streak on Wednesday night, as they're scheduled to host the Indiana Pacers.
