Chris Paul says he's looking forward to having “the ball more often” with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

There's isn't a ball-dominant player on the Thunder or a go-to scorer, so for OKC to win games this season, it will need to share the ball well on offense and win as a collective group.

“It’s a combination of both I mean, I don’t think it can be all one way,” Paul said, via The Oklahoman. “You need a combination of both. It’s cool being here, I have the opportunity to have the ball more often, so we will just figure it out.

“Wherever I play, whatever the system is. I adjust. Fortunately, I feel like I watch and hoop enough that whatever it is, it’s cool.”

Billy Donovan's Thunder teams have finished last in the league in passes per game the last four seasons. Chris Paul and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will be running the Thunder’s offense this season. They both are less ball-dominant players than Russell Westbrook, though neither guy is as explosive or a lethal scorer like Russ.

Paul has always been a willing passer. He reportedly clashed with James Harden on the Houston Rockets last season because of a lack of ball movement on offense.

For the first time with the Thunder, Donovan won’t have Kevin Durant, Paul George or Westbrook, a superstar who can take over the game in the fourth quarter. Ball movement will be very important for the Thunder.
