Hamidou Diallo, 19, recently inked a three-year deal worth $4 million with the Oklahoma City Thunder according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The Kentucky Wildcats talent was drafted with the 15th pick in the second round (45th overall) in the 2018 NBA Draft.

Diallo was a one-and-done player at Kentucky. In his lone season with the program, Diallo averaged 10.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. Diallo showed flashes of brilliance in college, but he ended up being the fourth of four Kentucky players selected.

Kevin Knox and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander were lottery picks taken by the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers respectively. Jarred Vanderbilt was another second-round selection. He went 41st overall to the Orlando Magic before being moved to the Denver Nuggets.

Diallo may be the least heralded of the Kentucky group, but he's looking to make a name for himself in Oklahoma City. The guard is incredibly athletic and should have no problem matching up defensively once he becomes acclimated to the speed of the NBA.

Despite his athleticism, Diallo is still an incredibly raw player. He has a tendency to get lost on the court and he could get victimized by more experienced players on both ends of the floor.

Diallo should have ample time to watch and learn from the bench. The Thunder have a crowded backcourt including Russell Westbrook, Dennis Schroder, Ray Felton, Andre Roberson and Alex Abrines. It could be difficult for Diallo to crack the rotation this season.
