A new member of the Oklahoma City Thunder is about to get starstruck once the team gathers for its first practice. Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot, who was part of a blockbuster three-team trade on Thursday that sent him and Dennis Schroder to the Thunder, Carmelo Anthony to the Atlanta Hawks, and Mike Muscala to the Philadelphia 76ers, said that he’s thrilled at the prospect of being on the same team with Paul George, per basketball reporter David Pick.

I just texted Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot on trade to OKC Thunder. He's thrilled: “(OMG Emojis) HUGE. I'm so excited. Paul George is my favorite player.”

Another reason for Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot to get excited over practice is that it’s probably the only time in which he will be able to sweat that much. He is not expected to crack Oklahoma City’s rotation, and will likely be only an end-of-the-bench insurance at the shooting guard and small forward positions and cheerleader for the team. Nevertheless, he can learn a lot by being around the likes of Paul George and Russell Westbrook.

Luwawu-Cabarrot,23, was selected 24th overall by the Sixers back in the 2016 NBA Draft. In two seasons in Philly, he mustered just 6.1 points,1.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 16.5 minutes in 121 total games played, including just 26 starts.
