The Detroit Tigers took on the Houston Astros Saturday in their third game of a four-game series. The Saturday game is a must-win for the Tigers, who fell 0-2 to start the series. Amid Detroit's efforts to take game three, Miguel Cabrera joined an exclusive club.

It was the top of the third inning. Javier Baez was on third, Robbie Grossman on first. Cabrera came up to bat as the fourth Detroit batter of the inning. The designated hitter doubled to shallow left field, driving in two runs.

While the double put the Tigers up 2-0, that wasn't the best part about it. The hit marked Cabrera's 600th career double. He joined Hank Aaron and Albert Pujols as the only players in MLB history to record 3,000+ hits, 500+ home runs, and 600+ doubles.

Aaron has 3,771 hits, 755 home runs, and 624 doubles, while Pujols has 3,310 hits, 681 home runs, and 673 doubles. The 600th double was the last thing Cabrera needed to earn his spot in such an elite company. He now has 3,009 hits, 503 home runs, and 600 doubles.

This is shaping up to be quite the monumental season for Cabrera. Just last month, the Detroit slugger recorded his 3,000th hit. He recorded his 500th homer last season in the Tigers' series against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Now in his 18th season in the MLB, it's unclear how much longer Tigers fans will get to enjoy Cabrera's slugging before retirement. But for now, he's still putting on a show with a .269 batting average, seven RBIs, and one home run to start the season.
