Anthony Edwards had to be escorted off the court in the middle of the first quarter in Game 4 between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Memphis Grizzlies.

The T-Wolves star appeared to have suffered a non-contact injury and began hobbling right after taking the ball across the halfcourt line.

Anthony Edwards quickly made his way to the locker room to get treatment and further assessment. It's always extra worrisome when there isn't evident contact that caused his discomfort.

But the good news is the injury likely doesn't look as serious as it seemed as Edwards made his way back out after getting checked by the Timberwolves medical staff.

The Timberwolves can't afford to lose Anthony Edwards if they hope to upset the two-seeded Grizzlies in their first-round series. He's averaged 25 points, five rebounds, and three assists on a stellar 48.1% shooting clip from the field throughout the first three games of the series. If there's anyone on the Timberwolves that could go toe-to-toe with Ja Morant, it's Antman.

His swift return from the locker room was clearly a sight for sore eyes for Timberwolves fans. Beyond the single series ramifications of a potentially serious injury, it could hold him back for an even bigger breakout year for next season. Minnesota will likely check up on his leg injury to make sure he's completely fine, but it looks like they've dodged a major bullet as of now.
