The Minnesota Timberwolves take on the Utah Jazz on Friday night in the Salt Lake City, and point guards Jeff Teague and Derrick Rose are both questionable to play.

Jeff Teague is dealing with left foot soreness, while Derrick Rose is dealing with a sore right ankle.

Jeff Teague has missed the last two games for Minnesota. The 30-year-old has been suffering from left foot and ankle ailments pretty much all season. In the 31 games he has played in for the Timberwolves, Teague is averaging 11.5 points, 2.4 rebounds and 8.1 assists per game while shooting 40.6 percent from the field, 34.1 percent from beyond the arc and 82.0 percent from the free-throw line.

Derrick Rose played the first half of Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers, but the former MVP sat out the second half. Timberwolves head coach Ryan Saunders told reporters after the game Rose was really sore. In 38 games this season for Minnesota, Rose is averaging 18.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 4.7 assists and shooting 48.0 percent from the field, 41.7 percent from the 3-point line and 85.4 percent from the foul line.

If both Teague and Rose are unable to play on Friday against Utah, veteran point guard Jerryd Bayless will get the start. Minnesota acquired Bayless in the Jimmy Butler trade from the Philadelphia 76ers. He has played very well in his last two games, scoring 14 points against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday and 16 versus the Lakers on Thursday.

The Timberwolves enter Friday with a record of 24-24, good for 10th place in the Western Conference standings.
