Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Tom Thibodeau said they will be without point guard Jeff Teague for 7-10 more days, per team radio voice Alan Horton. Teague has been bothered by a left ankle injury, which has forced him to lose the last two games.

A return close to the early part of the given timeline could have him coming back next Friday for a home game against the Atlanta Hawks, while a 10-day target would see his return for a Dec. 31 road game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Either way, the Wolves point guard will miss at the very least the next three games, including an important matchup against the seventh-place San Antonio Spurs on Friday, which could ease the Timberwolves into the playoff picture.

Minnesota has lost five of its last six games after a streak of winning basketball following the Jimmy Butler trade. To further complicate matters, the 14-17 Wolves will take on six of their next seven opponents on the road, making Teague's presence all the more essential to their success.

Teague is leading the team in assists with 8.3 per game, despite having a horrid shooting season, making only 38.4 percent of his field goals and 31.1 percent of his 3-point shots in 2017-18.

Derrick Rose has been filling in admirably as the starting point guard as part of his resurgence.
