It has been over a year since future Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett made the decision to wrap up his illustrious 21-year NBA career.

Garnett had spent the major of that time with the Minnesota Timberwolves, making his mark as one of best players that the league has ever seen. With that in mind, team owner Glen Taylor has made it clear that a jersey retirement is ultimately up to the 41-year-old, according to Darren Wolfson of Channel 5 Eyewitness News.

Garnett has many prestigious team records to his name as he holds the mark for most points (19,041), rebounds (14,662), assists (4,146), blocks (1,576), steals (1,282), field goals made (7,575), and games played (927) just to name a few. In fact, he and Hall of Famer Michael Jordan are the only players to currently hold their respective franchise in all-time points, rebounds, and assists.

On top of that, Garnett is also the only player to reach 25,000 points, 10,000 rebounds, 5,000 assists, 1,500 steals, and 1,500 blocks in their career. While in a Timberwolves' uniform, he earned 10 of his 15 All-Star Game selections, three of his four All-NBA First Team nods, all three of his All-NBA Second selections, both of his All-NBA Third Team nods, six of his nine NBA All-Defensive First Team selections, two of his three NBA All-Defensive Second Team nod, and his only NBA MVP award.

It should only be a matter of time before Garnett has his jersey up in rafters in the Target Center.
