The Tennessee Titans have lost control of the number one seed in the AFC, though most of it has been out of their control. Losing two major pieces in AJ Brown and Derrick Henry due to injury severely gashed the team's offense, and as a result, they have faltered just a tinge. With Brown's return to the active roster against the San Francisco 49ers', we get to see a glimpse of the vaunted Titans offense again.

AJ Brown's come back from the injured reserve list was a spectacular one, as the Titans wide receiver caught 11 passes for 145 yards and 1 touchdown. This was the 11th such game of Brown's young career, putting him on par with some of the best wide-outs in the game. (via NFL Research)

Brown's stellar performance helped the Titans overcome a 10 – 0 deficit at halftime against the 49ers. With their stellar wide-out back, the offense regained some of its previous potency. Brown's ability to impact the game opens up so many opportunities for Ryan Tannehill, and eases up the pressure on the defense a bit. Had he not sustained a chest injury in Week 11, he could've likely been selected to the Pro Bowl.

With superstar running back Derrick Henry potentially coming back before the postseason, and AJ Brown returning just before the playoffs, the Titans are slowly reemerging as a serious contender. A shot at the number one seed in the AFC isn't impossible for this team, especially with how unpredictable the games have been. This postseason is shaping up to be an exciting one.
