The Caleb Farley injury is likely as bad as expected. According to reports, the Tennessee Titans fear that the first-round selection has a torn ACL. As the report does state, after an MRI later on Tuesday, it'll be known whether or not this is a fear rooted in fact or general nerves.
The injury occurred during Monday Night Football. To many, it looked like something was clearly wrong, but all anyone could do at the time was speculate. Given the report, and the alleged fear the franchise has regarding the Titans rookie, plenty of fans will now be scouring the Al Gore's internet while waiting for the official diagnosis.
As mentioned, Caleb Farley was a one of the top pick's in the previous NFL Draft. Tennessee needed some to infuse some youth, athleticism and the like on the defensive side of the football, and the talented DB was doing just that.
Obviously, the injury happening this early in the NFL season — Week 6 — the sample-size was small, but the Titans rookie was adjusting the pros as well as one could expect, even (at least arguably) being one of the higher impact first-year defensive backs this season.
Nonetheless, while we all wait to see what happens and what the Titans say, here's to the hoping Caleb Farley injury ends up something he can come back from fully healthy.
