Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry will play in his team's pivotal Week 16 matchup with the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, per Kevin Patra of NFL.com.

Patra notes that Henry was a full participant in practice on Friday and was not listed on the Titans' final injury report.

Henry had been nursing a hamstring issue and was limited in Wednesday's practice before missing Thursday's session altogether, but that seems to have been a precautionary move on the part of Tennessee.

It's a good thing because the Titans desperately need Henry the rest of the way.

Through 14 games, the 25-year-old has racked up 1,329 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground while averaging 4.9 yards per carry. He has also logged 18 catches for 206 yards and a couple of scores.

Henry has come on particularly strong over the second half of the season, as he posted four straight 100-yard outings between Weeks 10 and 13, scoring seven rushing touchdowns during that span.

The Yulee, Fl. native, who played his collegiate football at the University of Alabama, was originally selected by Tennessee in the second round (45th pick overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft.

He played in 15 games during his rookie campaign, finishing with 490 yards while reaching the end zone five times in a reserve role. He began to receive more playing time in 2017, registering 744 yards and five touchdowns, and then, last year, Henry tallied his first 1,000-yard season, recording 1,059 yards and 12 scores while averaging 4.9 yards per attempt.

The Titans are 8-6 on the season and badly need a win against the Saints to salvage their playoff hopes.
