A.J. Brown's future with the Tennessee Titans remains unclear as trade rumors continue to circulate involving the star wide receiver. Brown is entering the final year of his contract and is expected to receive a significant payday from the Titans, following the trend of other top players at his position. Despite interest from teams such as the New York Jets, the latest rumors suggest the Titans are in fact prepared to give Brown a lucrative new deal and have no intentions of letting the 24-year-old leave the team, via Pro Football Network's Aaron Wilson.

Titans GM Jon Robinson reportedly stated during the NFL owners' meetings that he hopes to sign Brown to an extension, and the team hasn't done anything since to indicate otherwise.

Word around the league is that the Titans are expected to get a deal done. Pro Football Network reports one NFL executive believes Titans GM Jon Robinson will get a deal done in due time.

“I believe the Titans are absolutely going to pay A.J. Jon Robinson takes care of his guys, look at his track record. A.J. deserves a good deal. It’s just a matter of time before it happens,” the executive said, via Pro Football Network.

If the Titans don't end up offering Brown a new deal, or one on par with his value, there will be various teams waiting in the wings hoping to swoop in with a trade. These latest updates suggest that won't be necessary, however, as the Titans seem committed to getting a deal done with Brown, paying him what he's worth even in an expensive wide-receiver market.
