The skateboarding world continues to be in shock following the tragic news of Zane Timpson's passing. Tributes from in and around the community have poured in for Timpson which now includes the biggest name of them all in the great Tony Hawk.
Hawk took to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute amid the 26-year-old's untimely passing:
“So sad to hear about the passing of Zane Timpson,” Hawk wrote.
“He was an incredibly gifted skater with a contagious spirit. I only skated with him once (in his backyard pool) and we had a blast during our brief session.”
Tony Hawk did not have a very strong bond with Timpson nor did he know the California-based skater. However, Hawk drew inspiration from the many tributes that were sent out by Timpson's friends:
“Judging from the sentiments of others, it sounds like he had everyone’s back, leaving a lasting impression on those of us lucky to have known him or seen him skate,” Hawk wrote.

Timpson reportedly passed away last week, but at this point, his family has yet to provide the details or the cause of his death.
