Last November 5, 2021, Travis Scott performed at his Astroworld Music Festival wherein a huge incident happened. Because of this tragedy, Epic Games decided to remove Travis Scott’s emote from Fortnite’s Item Shop.

Scott’s Astroworld concert was a disaster thanks to eight casualties and hundreds of injuries from the crowd. People say that this could’ve been prevented had Scott listened to personnel about putting the show to a halt. Instead, the rapper decided to continue the show which led to even more disastrous outcomes. In fact, despite seeing dead bodies being carried out, Scott continued to perform.

Back in 2020, Fortnite featured Travis Scott in one of the first virtual in-game concerts. Other artists may have already performed in Fortnite in the past, but Scott was virtually remade. This led to the debut of Travis Scott’s skins and emotes in the item shop. One of these emotes is the trendy beat from TikTok called “Out West” which features Scott in the song.

Just recently, Epic tweeted that they will temporarily be disabling the item shop’s “Daily” section. They didn’t necessarily give out a specific reason, however, the “Out West” emote was supposedly featured in the “Daily” section. It’s safe to say that Epic’s decision to disable the “Daily” section has something to do with the emote.

After the tragic incident that took place in Astroworld, it wouldn’t be surprising if Travis’ skin would go away too. Travis Scott is currently in the walk of shame. So we’re pretty sure that people wouldn’t want any direct references of him in Fortnite
