Triangle Strategy has four endings, one of which is considered to be the “True” ending. Here is how you can unlock them.

How to Unlock Each Triangle Strategy Ending

Each of the three basic endings of Triangle Strategy gets unlocked based on your final convictions at the end of the game. As mentioned at the start of Triangle Strategy, conviction affects who you can recruit, where the story is headed, and, of course, what kind of ending you'll be getting.

Conviction is primarily obtained through the players' decisions in the game. In our opinion, players should treat each decision in the game as important. But while we think that way, we also think that players shouldn't sweat the endings and just choose the choices they feel are right. That way, you'll most likely end up with an ending you agree with.

But at the end of the day, curious players will search about the games' multiple endings, choose which ending they want for their playthrough, and decide to pursue that ending. There are also ways to earn Conviction outside of the decision storyline branches. So here we are with this guide, helping you out in pursuing the ending you desire.

But first off, how do you actually affect Conviction? Reddit user u/Prominuss has a great guide on this, and we quote:

The ending the player gets aligns with the conviction that they have the most points for at the end of the game – provided that the player does not follow the conditions to unlock The Golden Route, also known as the game's True Ending. To unlock the True Ending, the player has to:

  • Choose to Protect Roland in Chapter 7, A Soul Upon The Scales
  • Choose to Transport the Illegal Salt in Chapter 9, Dwindling Light
  • Choose to Reveal Roland's Identity in Chapter 10a, Beneath a Frigid Sky
  • Choose to Defend Roselle in Chapter 11, Oppressions Under the Sun
  • Choose to Return to Wolffort in Chapter 15, Return to Wolffort
  • Choose to Find Another Way in Chapter 17, If Griefs Could Passions Move

Note that the decision in Chapter 17 will only be available if the player is already following the Golden Route – that is, meaning the player has chosen all the correct answers in all of the Chapters stated above. Each route will take about 50 hours to complete, with the Golden Route being the longest. Going through all of the endings, including the Golden Route, would give players about 150 hours of gameplay, saying a lot about Triangle Strategy's replayability. Thankfully, the game's challenge and gameplay make it very fun to play even after hours of playing. It also gives you more reason to come back at a later time even after years of not touching the game.

And it turns out that none of your conviction points would actually matter if you're pursuing The Golden Route, so feel free and liberated from all inhibition. However, Conviction Points will still matter on which characters you'd be able to recruit, so still, be mindful at the very least.
