UFC president has provided an update on Francis Ngannou's contract situation amid tension between the all parties.

Things have not gone down well between Francis Ngannou and the UFC since the promotion decided to have an interim heavyweight champion. More issues with Ngannou's contract soon followed suit as claims of the reigning champ set to leave after his title fight against Cyril Gane.

UFC boss Dana White finally lifted the lid on the matter and confirmed that he and Ngannou just had a “good conversation” and the champ got “one more fight” after Gane.

“Francis and I bumped into each other the other night at dinner. We had a good talk,” White said via BJPenn.com. “And he’s not out of contract if he wins that fight (vs. Gane). I think he’s got one more fight with us after that… I think that Francis and I had a good conversation.”

Just recently, Ngannou's manager Marquel Martin had emphasized that the main issue was that the UFC has failed to do two important things for his star client–activity and proper promotion.

White had earlier suggested that Ngannou's representatives are not the best guys for the job and apparently, his stance on the subject has not changed one bit.

“I think Francis has been misguided, too, by some people that aren’t very bright,” White stressed. “That doesn’t help either; when you’ve got some people behind you that have no f*cking clue what they’re talking about. It doesn’t help the situation.”

Ngannou will take on Gane at UFC 270 in January next year.
